Teen killed, 4 injured in Kerr County crash


KERR COUNTY, Texas –

A deadly accident in Kerr County has claimed the life of a Houston-area teenager and injured four others.

The accident happened Thursday afternoon just outside of Kerrville in Mountain Home.

According to the Kerrville Daily Times, the driver of a truck carrying four other people ran a stop sign at the intersection of Texas 41 and 27 and crashed into a dump truck.

The driver of the dump truck attempted to slow down, but was unable to avoid the crash.

All five people in the truck were transported by AirLife to University Hospital, and one was pronounced dead a short time later. 

The Bexar County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 17-year-old Austin Woodfin of Richmond, Texas.

Charges against the driver or the condition of the other injured passengers were unknown. The dump truck driver was not hurt.
